TEXTULA
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Winner of MVM30 - Thank you so much to those who left reviews! :) A full version of the game is in development, follow us for updates!
Explore and master a forgotten ecosystem of sentient programs, built inside of a futuristic next-gen computer from the 1980s.
Textula is a snappy 2D challenge platformer metroidvania featuring light environmental puzzles, exploration, lore, and unique movement abilities and commands to find, all presented in a purely text-based art style with lots and lots of handcrafted ascii animations.
Estimated playtime would be in the ballpark of ~25 minutes.
You can enable a speedrun timer by pressing T, as well as quickly restart with the restart command, if you'd like.
Installation:
The game download is a jar file, which should open and run on any operating system, but requires Java to be installed, much like Minecraft. If you don’t have Java, you can install it for free here.
